Celebrating International Women's Day 2021

Today is International Women’s Day. At Woolroom, we are proud to have a lot of brilliant women within our team, whose expertise and skills help us at various stages of the journey, from the farm to the store front. 

Although these women are essential and deserve recognition on a daily basis, we wanted to spend today to really celebrate them and their roles at Woolroom. Below, a selection of our team let you get to know them and their importance to us as a business.



 

I have been with Woolroom since 2014 and am one of the Customer Service Advisors, dealing with product questions, orders, and any day-to-day customer help.

My Woolroom top pick would be the Woolroom Kids Bedding Bundle as it has made a world of difference to how my kids sleep meaning I also sleep better! Double win!

I’ve been with the company for just over a year as a Buying Assistant. This is a interesting and varied role which includes helping the Buyer in ensuring there are suitable levels of stock within the company, as well as looking to increase current ranges by bringing in new products and designs. 

My top wool room pick would be The Chatsworth All seasons duvet. Perfect for all year round!

I am the newest member of the Woolroom team, joining as the Digital Marketing Executive this month. I am passionate about all things sleep.

My top Woolroom pick would be the extra wide bed blankets, perfect for snuggling in the evenings and lazy Sunday mornings on the sofa!

I have been in company 4 years (as of last Monday). My role has changed loads since being here, I was first here as Maternity cover for Gemma, and then when Gemma came back I moved onto the accounts department and worked on the bookkeeping. Then, since the pandemic, I moved back over to customer service to help out while we had people on furlough and shortfly after, became Customer Service Team leader in September. Now my role is to manage the time and resources of the CS team, and make sure we’re giving the best advise we can and guiding our customers to products that will offer them the best night sleep possible!

My favourite Woolroom product would be the Bedding bundles. I just feel like it'ssuch a luxury every night to sleep completely cocooned in wool.
